Overview of town station.
屋根つきのプラットホームと、ストップ機能つきのレールが一体になった駅です。
長さは直線レールと同じです。
Town station is an integrated station of a rooftop platform and a track with stop/go function.
The length of this station is as same as a straight rail.
Same as straight rail in length.
It holds a train with the switch at STOP position by lifting the driving wheels.
商品名は「J-28 プラキッズ駅セット」で、街の駅1個とプラキッズ3体が入っています。
The product name is “Town station with Pla-kids" (J-28). It includes 1 town station and 3 Pla-kids.
ホームは駅名標やベンチ、売店、黄色い線や階段が再現されていて、かなりの完成度を誇ります。
The platform is highly complete one which has a station sign, a bench, a kiosk, amber lines, stairs, and so on.
Decals are all applied previously.
プラキッズはホームに立たせたり、売店に立たせたり、ベンチに座らせたりすることができます。
ただし、うまく置くのは小さい子どもには難しいかもしれません。頭ももげてしまいやすいので注意です。
You can let the Pla-kids stand on the platform, at the kiosk, or sit on the bench.
However, it may be difficult for small children to place Pla-kids nicely because they are small and not very stable on the platform. Also be careful not to break the necks.
Pla-kids: Note that it’s hard for children to set, small and easy to lose, also easily breakable.
駅としてはパーツが細かく分かれていないため簡単で丈夫、どんなレイアウトにも使いやすいデザイン、片付けるときにかさばらない…と、とても使い勝手がよいです。
As for the station, it’s simple and strong because it doesn’t have any small separated parts. Excellent design for any track layout as well as it doesn’t take up too much space in a container. Very handy.
ホームと屋根も直線レール1本分の長さに揃っているので、街の駅どうしをぴったりつなぐことができます。
また、橋上駅(J-25)や跨線橋(J-12)との相性もよく、駅をグレードアップさせる楽しみがあります。
Not only the rail part, but the platform and the roof are also 1 straight rail long so, you can connect other town station(s) to extend the platform.
It’s also compatible with elevated station (J-25) or overpass (J-12) which allows you to upgrade the station your way.

駅が欲しいけれど、どれにしようか迷う場合は、この街の駅にしておけば間違いありません。
If you don’t have an idea which station to get, you can never go wrong with it.
そして、できれば2個揃えることをおすすめします。
2個あると、長い島式ホームや対向式ホームの駅を作ることができるようになり、レイアウトの幅が広がるからです。
もちろん3個、4個とあるともっと長いホームや大きな駅を作ることができるようになりますが、最寄り駅をプラレールで再現するのにどうしても必要とか、よほどの理由がなければ2個におさえておくのが大事ではないかと思います。
We also recommend to get 2 because it lets you build a longer island platform or separate platforms.
If you have 3, 4, or even more, of course you can build longer platform or larger station. However, we would like to recommend you to keep it up to 2 unless you really need more for strong reason.
つなげよう！くみかえプラレール駅(J-11)とこの街の駅(J-28)のどちらにするかは意見がわかれるところですが、機能はJ-11が上、リアルさとシンプルさではJ-28が上ではないかと思います。
お好みで選んでください。
It’s difficult to conclude which station to get, “Let’s connect! Rearrangement Plarail Station" (J-11) or this town station (J-28).
We would say J-11 has more functionality, and J-28 is more elaborate as well as simple to use. It’s your choice.
使いかたのコツ (Tips for Use)
1. 直線レールと置きかえる (Replace a straight rail)
街の駅は直線レールと同じ長さなので、できあがったレイアウトの直線レールと入れかえると簡単に組み込めます。
Town station is as long as a straight rail. After/during building your track, just replace a straight rail to this town station.
2. 島式ホームをつくる (Build an island platform)
Y字ポイントレール(R-22)を使うと、両側にのりばがある島式ホームをつくることができます。
図では反対側ののりばにストップレール(R-08)を使っていますが、直線レール(R-01)でもかまいません。
By introducing Y point rails (R-22), you can build an island platform which has tracks on both sides.
A stop/go rail (R-08) is used on the other side of the platform in the following figure, but you can use a straight rail (R-01) instead.

複線レイアウトでは、Y字ポイントレールではなく複線幅広ポイントレール(R-15)を使います。
For double track, use double track wide point rails (R-15) instead of Y point rails.

3. 対向式ホームをつくる (Build separate platforms)
街の駅を2つ向かい合わせると、上下線のホームが向かいあった対向式ホームをつくることができます。
複線レールにつなげるには、1/4直線レール(R-20)を使ってつなぎ目の向きを合わせます。
Face two town stations each other to build separate platforms for inbound track and outbound track.
To connect to double track rails, use 1/4 straight rails (R-20) to adjust the joints.
The joints don’t match, so…
Use 1/4 straight rails.
4. 高架駅をつくる (Elevate the platform)
ブロック橋脚(J-14)やトレインケースを使うと、高架駅を作ることができます。
Town station can be elevated by pier blocks (J-14) or a train case.
When you put it on pier blocks,
Use another pier block to support the other side of the platform.
The back support is not necessary if you use double track pier blocks (J-22).
Train case is also recommended to elevate the station.
5. ほかの情景部品と組み合わせて使う (Use in combination with other scenery parts)
街の駅どうし (Another town station)
街の駅を2つつなげると、3両編成のプラレール車両がぴったりホームにおさまるようになります。
ただし駅のストップ機能を使って停車させたときは後尾車が少しだけはみ出します。
駅を3つつなげれば、ストップ機能を使っても車両がおさまるようになりますが、レイアウトは大きくなってしまいます。
Two town stations in series are just good for standard 3 cars Plarail train – The aft car slightly sticks out of the platform when you stop the train using the stop lever of the station, though.
Three town stations solve it completely, but the track layout can be unnecessarily bigger.

跨線橋 (Overpass)
つぎはこせんきょう(J-12)です。対向式ホームによく合いますね。
The next is overpass (J-12). Pretty suitable for 2 separate platforms.
The overpass used above is the old version.
橋上駅 (Elevated station)
街の駅は橋上駅(J-25)との相性が抜群で、豪華な島式ホームをつくることができます。
橋上駅の駅舎には切り欠きがあり、ここに街の駅の屋根がぴったり入るようになっています。
Town station is absolutely compatible with an elevated station (J-25). This combination makes a gorgeous island platform.

この駅にY字ポイントレール(R-22)や複線幅広ポイントレール(R-15)をつなげるためには、1/4直線レール(R-20)でつなぎ目の向きを合わせます。
In order to connect Y point rail (R-22) or double track wide point rail (R-15) to this station, use 1/4 straight rails (R-20) to adjust the joint.

地下直線レール (Underground straight rail)
地下直線レール(R-25)があれば、跨線橋や橋上駅がなくてもそれらしい駅にすることができます。
Underground straight rails (R-25) help you to build a good looking station if you don’t have an overpass nor an elevated station.

なお、街の駅の屋根はブロック橋脚(J-14)1つぶんよりもちょっとだけ高くなっています。
街の駅の上にレールを通すときにはミニ橋脚(J-15)を1つ追加するか、ブロック橋脚を2段重ねにします。
Town station is slightly taller than 1 pier block (J-14).
Add 1 mini pier (J-15) or use 2 pier blocks to let a track overpass the town station.
