商品名は「ニュー踏切」ですが、ひと昔前のデザインのプラレール踏切です。
小さな踏切(J-18)や大きな踏切(J-21)のほうがリアルです。とはいえ、これはこれで味があると思います。

踏切本体に警報器2本と、シールが入っています。
シールを貼るところは多くありませんが、あらかじめ大人の方が貼ってしまうとよいでしょう。
警報器は取り付けにくく、外れやすいです。リアルさよりポップ感の踏切ということもあり、そのうち警報器は使わなくなってしまうかもしれません。

使いかたのコツ (Tips for Use)

1. 直線レールと置きかえる (Replace a straight rail)

この踏切は直線レールと同じ長さなので、できあがったレイアウトの直線レールと入れかえると簡単に組み込めます。
This railroad crossing is as long as a straight rail. After/during building your track, just replace a straight rail to this part.

2. レールを少し浮かせてつなげる (Lift the connecting rail slightly at the joints)

ニュー踏切に入ってくるつなぎ目の部分は、急に上り坂になっていて、一部のプラレール車両はうまく走らないことがあります。
The gradient of the rail is not smooth at the joint of this railroad crossing and some train may get stuck here.

そこで、つなぎ目の部分ではレールを少しだけ浮かせてつなげると車両がスムーズに走るようになります。
It can be solved by lifting the connecting rail slightly at the joint.
