つくりかた (How to build)

Step 1

まずは現地のようすを見てみましょう。
Let’s look at the local area first.

路面電車の大橋停留場の周辺は下の図のようになっています。
北へ向かうと橋(浦上川)をわたり、右に曲がって浦上車庫、南へ向かうと平和公園(松山町)です。
西側をJR長崎本線が並走しています。この地図ではわかりませんが、JRは高架になっています。
また、路面電車とJRどちらも複線です。
The vicinity of the tramway Ohashi station is as shown below.
Northbound – across Urakami river, turning right, and the next stop is Urakami Tram Depot.
Southbound – going straight and the next stop Peace Park.
JR Nagasaki Line runs on the West side in parallel. It’s elevated, though we cannot identify it in the map.
Both electric tram and JR lines are double track.

Step 2

駅と線路を組み立てていきましょう。
See below to build the station and the tracks.

路面電車で川を渡るところには小さな鉄橋をつけるためにミニ橋脚を使いたいのと、駅のホームがわずかに千鳥配置になっているので、上下線で1/4直線レールを使って調整します。
本当は上向きの鉄橋がついているわけではないのですが、プラレール的にはこれでいい感じです。
We use 1/4 straight rails so that we can install small railroad bridge and express slightly staggered platforms.
As a matter of fact, there are no upward bridge structure, but it’s okay as Plarail.

オレンジ色の○のところは、ミニ橋脚の部分が複線レールの間隔より広いので、少しだけ外側にゆがんでいます。
また、直線レールでミニ橋脚1つ分の高さを上り下りしていますので、少しだけカクッとしています。
このくらいであれば、プラレール車両を走らせるのには問題ありません。
At the orange highlighted areas, the track is just a little bit distorted because the mini pier part is slightly wider than double track clearance.
Also, straight rails go up and down 1 mini pier height and the track is not perfectly smooth.
There is no issues to run Plarail train with those small irregulars.

駅と鉄橋の間は踏切ですが、路面電車のため警報器や遮断桿はないので、ふつうのレールを使います。
There is a railroad crossing between the station and the railroad bridge, but use normal rails as it’s a street car track which has no typical crossing alarms or gate bars.

JR長崎本線は、高架直線レールと複線ブロック橋脚でひたすらまっすぐ伸ばしたいところ。なければ複線直線レールにしたり、ふつうのブロック橋脚で単線にしてしまってもよいでしょう。
図では、高架直線レールのほか操車場 (J-06) に入っているグレーのレールを使って、足りないなりに少しでも長くしています。
For JR Nagasaki Line, it would be nice if we could connect as many elevated straight rails on double track pier blocks as possible. In case you don’t have those, use double track straight rails or make it single track.
Although it’s still shorter than desired, we used gray straight rails which are in marshaling yard (J-06) in order to extend JR track.

Step 3

レールに余裕があれば、浦上川うらかみがわや野球場(ビッグNスタジアム)を作りましょう。
If you have some more rails, make Urakami river and the ballpark (Big N Stadium).

Step 4

好きな車両や車を並べて完成です。
Display your favorite trains and cars.

長崎の路面電車はかつてプラレール製品になっていたこともありますが、ここではきかんしゃトーマス3両目のクララベルを使っています。
Nagasaki tram used to be a Plarail product, but we placed Clarabel from Thomas and Friends (she is usually connected to the end of Plarail Thomas train) at Ohashi Station.

JR長崎本線には、実際に走っているJR九州787系特急かもめ号です。博多〜長崎を結んでいます。
There is JR Kyushu 787 series limited express Kamome on JR Nagasaki Line. It travels between Hakata and Nagasaki.

路面電車の通過を待つ車はおなじみトミカシリーズですね。
Tomica toy cars are set as well – waiting for the tram to pass.

長崎の路面電車の風景から、大橋停留場でした。
2022年秋には西九州新幹線が開業し、となりを走っている特急かもめ号は新幹線に生まれ変わる予定です。様変わりする前にプラレールで作ってみました。
